INTRODUCTION
1. This policy outlines the standards the Company requires of all those who contribute content to the Company. This policy applies regardless of the tools, technologies, methods and/or mediums used to create content. The Company reserves the right to reject or remove content where it reasonably believes that key principles as set out in this policy have not been met.
KEY PRINCIPLES
2. All those who contribute content to the Company must:
a) comply with the Company’s terms and conditions that are relevant to their contribution;
b) cause no adverse publicity, public criticism or damage to the reputation of the Company;
c) cause no material disruption to the business of the Company and/or its customers/clients;
d) where tools, including AI-assisted technologies, are used in the preparation of content, such tools must be used as an aid only and must not replace the contributor’s own professional judgement, analysis or expertise;
e) ensure that all content that they create is their own original work and intellectual creation;
f) not infringe the intellectual property rights, privacy, data or other proprietary rights of any third-party or of the Company;
3. All those who create or edit content for the Company shall ensure that such content:
a) has not been compiled or created in a way which would or could result in a breach of any third party’s terms and conditions;
b) has not been compiled or created using or by reference to any third party content which is not intended to be used for commercial purposes; and
c) will not and is not likely to cause any loss or damage to the Company;
d) has been prepared in a manner that ensures appropriate verification of all sources, data and factual statements.
4. Content created for the Company shall not constitute or include:
a) a libel or slander or be offensive or indecent,
b) material which is or could constitute discrimination based on sex, sexual orientation, race, religion, gender or gender reassignment, disability, age or other sensitive characteristics; or
c) viruses, bugs, worms, spyware, Trojan horses, harmful codes or other form of defect or contamination which could cause temporary or permanent damage to or could otherwise impair or harm or cause the malfunction of the software or hardware of the Company or of any third party or which could otherwise bring the Company into disrepute or cause
damage to the Company.
5. The Company recognises that contributors may use a range of tools and technologies, including AI-assisted tools, to support content creation. Such tools may be used responsibly, provided contributors retain full accountability for the
originality, accuracy and integrity of their work. Accordingly, contributors must:
a) critically review and verify all content prior to submission;
b) ensure all facts, data, quotations and citations are accurate and derived from reliable, attributable sources;
c) avoid reliance on AI-generated content as a substitute for their own authoring and ensure the final content reflects their own expertise, insight and analysis.
6. Contributors are not required to disclose routine or assistive use of tools in the preparation of content. The Company may request information about the content creation process where reasonably necessary to ensure compliance with this policy.
